I'm Mariela and I’m the founder and maker behind The Wooden Hook Store.

The Wooden Hook Store started out of a thought that I had about designing home decor pieces. The name of my shop was actually inspired by my love for crochet. I love to use wooden hooks and natural wooden tools to create my designs. I started by creating small baskets, coasters and blankets. As my page expanded over time, my focus shifted toward handmade accessories, functional household items and gifts (special and unique gifts) using crochet techniques and also macrame, another of my favorite hobbies.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion to work with my hands and create things out of nothing. Now I can say that my passion for creating has led me here.
